One of the biggest challenges in this era where content is king, and video leading the way as the most engaging form of content, is the cost of creating video. Sure, there’s a lot of video created by simply pointing your camera and tapping on the record icon. However, creating compelling content that is interesting, memorable and share-worthy, is what is needed for your brand. And, this often is faced with the prospect of huge cost estimates.
Ixigo, showed that not always is this true, if a little ingenuity is used. Here is one of their really interesting videos
So how much did it cost? At the recently held ‘DIGITAL SUCCESS SUMMIT’ Aashish Chopra, VP Content Marketing, Ixigo, asked the audience to guess, and the answers ranged from lots to a lot more. After hearing out the guesstimates for a while, Aashish very dramatically shaped a zero with his thumb and forefinger and said “Almost nothing”. It just needed a single image from Shutterstock, and animator. But more importantly what is needed is a very good idea. And this idea has to be centred on insights that you get from a deep understanding of your consumer.
Creating inexpensive, yet compelling films, will be one of the most used ways to take your fledgling brand to your consumers, and its important that your brand is armed with what’s necessary to enable this.
